Engineering Technician I

Job Duties: Reading and comprehension of electrical and mechanical diagrams. Effective communication and functioning within a team. Understanding of proper wiring and mechanical assembly techniques. Independently perform low complexity wiring and mechanical assembly.

Skills/Qualifications: Mechanical and electrical aptitude. Interest in Robotics, Laser Systems, Vision Systems and/or PLC programming and trouble-shooting. 

Position Requirements: 2-year Degree in Engineering Technology, Automation or Robotics.

Warehouse Coordinator

Job Duties: Receive material from suppliers or customers and perform initial receiving / quarantine inspections for assigned manufacturing operation. Process and ship outbound material or product. Distribute and stock materials in appropriate manufacturing locations to support continuous production. Resolve problems related to receiving, shipping, quarantine inspections. Incoming Inspections. Calibration and maintenance activities. Weekly inventory audit/reconciliation.

Skills/Qualifications: Ability to follow through and consistently deliver on commitments. Strong communication skills. Attention to detail. Computer aptitude.

Position Requirements: High School Degree; experience in warehousing a plus. Ability to work independently. Flexibility to learn and perform in several job functions. Completion of metrology based course a plus.

Engineering Technician III

Job duties: Lead fellow engineering technicians; able to direct, organize, and own the build process. Assign specific tasks for yourself and other technicians daily. Maintain build schedule, working directly with the project manager and designers to overcome obstacles. High complexity wiring and mechanical assembly. High level troubleshooting and machine power up ability. Low level I/O checkout, basic end of line mechanical alignments. Assist in design suggestions and responsibility for implementation in the build. Ownership of the print package; ensure redlines are captured, authorize and/or perform minor modifications. Limited field service duties.

Skills/Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation, as well as have significant mechanical and electrical aptitude, proven troubleshooting capabilities and the ability to build and troubleshoot from CAD solid model images. Experience with Robotics, Laser Systems, Vision Systems and/or PLC programming and trouble-shooting. Candidates must have the ability to work independently.

Position Requirements: 2-year Degree in Engineering Technology, Automation or Robotics with 5-10 years of relevant work experience.

Account Manager

Job duties: Meet or exceed company sales objectives and develop a profitable sales/business base for the company. Lead the process of generating, qualifying, proposing and closing on profitable new and repeat custom automation business in the target markets. Support the growth of service-related sales and proposal activities. Identify business opportunities which are compatible with OakRiver Technology capabilities. Develop and qualify customer requirements on new project opportunities. Provide oversight or direct responsibility for proposal development, including commercial and technical content and risks, schedules, and cost estimates. In general, works with Applications Engineering in this effort. Produce professional customer sales calls, demonstrations and project proposals. Key negotiator for the terms, conditions and pricing of the project with the customer. Provide general customer account coverage, including the expansion of existing accounts. Identify and maintain knowledge of key contacts and decision-makers within accounts and establish multi-level relationships with key personnel, manage ongoing communications and direct contact with existing and potential clients. Provide input as appropriate regarding market, business, client and company needs in order to ensure OakRiver maintains a leadership position. Maintain an awareness of all competitive activities e.g. performance, pricing, positioning, and related information. Ensure overall customer satisfaction. Manage sales channels by owning relationships with Channel Partners such as Distributors, Reps and OEMs. Attend industry trade shows and training as requested. Maintain and expand personal knowledge base through periodicals, trade publications and business seminars.

Position Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and/or relevant years of experience in similar engineering/technical/sales role. 5+ years of experience in Sales or Sales Management with skills/experience in dealing with both technical and high-level customer situations, or 10+ years business experience in engineering, business development or project management. Ability to travel ~25% of the time. Some international travel may be required. Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
